PMU Waiver Analytics
When your PMU template has PMU Details turned on, the artist records the facts of each session once the client has signed: the treatment area, the procedure type, the device and needle configuration, and the pigment brand and color. PMU Waiver Analytics adds those records up so you can see which artists are busiest, which treatments clients book most, and which hardware and pigments you actually use.
This guide explains the two PMU sections of the Analytics screen: PMU Artist Performance and PMU Overview. For the controls every section shares (date chips, waiver-form filters, full screen), see the Analytics overview.
In short: the artist fills in PMU Details during the session → Analytics groups the entries by artist, treatment area, procedure, device, needle, brand and color → you pick a date range, filter as needed and read the leaderboard and the lists.
Where the data comes from
You never enter anything on the Analytics screen. Every figure comes from the PMU Details section the artist completes on each submission. The options they choose from are the ones you saved in the template's Procedure Options step: treatment areas, procedure types, device types, needle configurations, pigment brands and pigment colors. The names in your charts are therefore the names you set up there.
- Artist name feeds PMU Artist Performance.
- Treatment area, procedure type, device, needle, pigment brand and pigment color feed PMU Overview.
The PMU sections appear on the Analytics screen once your account has a PMU template. Tap the Analytics card on the dashboard and scroll past the universal sections to find them.
Tip: keep the Procedure Options lists tidy. If "Powder Brows" and "Ombre Powder Brows" are both saved as procedure types for the same service, they will show as two separate bars here.
PMU Artist Performance
"PMU submissions from artists." This section shows how PMU work is spread across your team and who signed the most clients in the chosen period.
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Date chips | Calendar icon for a custom range, or 7 d, 30 d, 90 d, 180 d, 365 d. |
| TOP PERFORMER | The artist with the most submissions in the range, with their count and share of the total. |
| TOTAL SUBMISSIONS | "Across all artists in period": every PMU submission with an artist recorded. |
| Search artists | Type part of a name to narrow the leaderboard. |
| Waiver Forms dropdown | Limit the figures to one or more PMU templates. |
| # Count / % Percentage | Show the bars as raw numbers or as a share of the total. |
| Artist Leaderboard | "Top PMU performers by volume": a bar per artist, longest at the top, with a full-screen icon for long lists. |
To read it: choose the range you care about, then switch to % Percentage to compare artists against each other rather than count sessions. Names are taken exactly as typed in PMU Details, so an artist whose name was entered two ways appears twice.
When there are no PMU submissions with an artist in the range, the section reads "No PMU artist data yet." Widen the range or clear the filters.
Screen needed: the PMU Artist Performance section expanded on a phone, 90 d selected, with the TOP PERFORMER banner naming an artist and an Artist Leaderboard of at least three names in # Count mode. Show: the TOP PERFORMER banner and the "x% of total" share.
PMU Overview: the summary cards
"Treatment areas, procedure types, and hardware trends." The top of the section gives you the headline numbers for the selected range.
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Date chips | Same chips as above. |
| Waiver Form | Limit everything in the section to one or more PMU templates. |
| Total Procedures | "Logged PMU procedures in range." One submission can log more than one procedure, so this can be higher than the number of submissions. |
| Top Treatment Area | The treatment area recorded most often, for example Brows. |
| Top Procedure Type | The procedure type recorded most often. |
Screen needed: the top of the PMU Overview section on a phone, 30 d selected, with the Total Procedures, Top Treatment Area and Top Procedure Type cards filled in (for example 9, Brows, Classic Eyeliner). Show: the three summary cards under the date chips.
PMU Overview: filters and lists
Below the cards is a second Filters block that controls the lists. Use it to answer specific questions, such as "which needle configurations do we use for lips?"
| Filter | What it narrows |
|---|---|
| Search treatment areas, procedures, or hardware… | Type to find any value across the lists. |
| Areas | Treatment areas, such as Brows, Lips or Scalp. |
| Procedures | Procedure types, such as Classic Eyeliner or Scalp Micropigmentation. |
| Devices | Device types, such as Rotary PMU Machine or Hand Tool. |
| Needles | Needle configurations, such as 1RL or 3RS. |
| Brands | Pigment brands, such as Perma Blend or Tina Davies. |
| Reset icon (↻) | Clears every filter in this block and returns the lists to their defaults. |
Screen needed: the second Filters block of PMU Overview on a phone, with the search box, the five dropdowns (All Areas, All Procedures, All Devices, All Needles, All Brands) and the reset icon visible, one dropdown showing a selected value. Show: the reset icon next to the search box.
The filters feed three lists, each with its own full-screen icon:
| List | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Treatment Areas | "Anatomy targeted": a bar per area, most popular first. |
| Procedure Types | "Specific service technique": a bar per procedure. |
| More PMU Details | Four tabs for the hardware and pigments: Devices, Needles, Brands and Colors. Tap a tab to switch. |
How to read it: each entry shows how many times it was logged, most popular first, so a glance tells you which treatment areas and procedures carry your business. Pick a treatment area under All Areas and the other lists narrow to that area, which is the quickest way to see which devices, needles and pigments go with each service. Tap the reset icon to start again.
If nothing was logged in the range, the section reads "No PMU treatment area data yet." If your filters are too narrow, the lists read "No matching PMU detail data found for this range." Widen the date range, tap the reset icon, or check that PMU Details is enabled on the template.
Good to know
- Empty fields are skipped. A submission whose PMU Details were left blank doesn't appear in these charts.
- Deleted templates no longer appear in the All Waiver Forms filter.
