Fitness Waiver Analytics
Apart from the universal waiver analytics on Waiverly, fitness templates collect two things that no other template does: a Health Screening analytic that can flag a client for staff review, and Session Information analytic that clients and trainers fill in for each session. The Analytics screen turns both into two fitness-only sections, Fitness Health Screening Outcomes and Fitness Session Overview, so a gym or studio owner can see how screenings are going and what a template is actually recording, without opening submissions one by one.
This guide explains what each section is for, where its numbers come from, and how to read it.
In short: Fitness Health Screening Outcomes counts how many screened clients came out as no risk, flagged or cleared. Fitness Session Overview shows, for one template at a time, which Session Information questions it asks and what clients and trainers answered.
Opening the fitness sections
- On the dashboard, tap the Analytics card (Tap to expand details).
- Scroll past the universal sections to Fitness Health Screening Outcomes and Fitness Session Overview. Each is a collapsible card; tap the chevron to open it.
- Use the date chips at the top of a section (calendar icon for a custom range, then 7 d, 30 d, 90 d, 180 d, 365 d) to change the period. Charts have a full-screen icon (⤢), which is the easiest way to read them on a phone.
Fitness Health Screening Outcomes
This section answers one question: of the clients who went through a health screening questionnaire, how many answered a questions that triggered their submission to be flagged?
The data comes from the Health Screening step of your fitness templates (when enabled), where each question can be set to flag the submission when the client gives a particular answer (for example Yes to a cardiovascular question). Every screened submission is counted once and ends up in one of three outcomes.
| Card or control | What it shows |
|---|---|
| All Waiver Forms (Filters) | Limits the section to one or more fitness templates. Deleted templates are not listed. |
| Screened Clients | Submissions that were screened: the total number of submissions in the period that included a Health Screening step. |
| No Risk | Submissions where no answer matched a flag rule. |
| Flagged | Awaiting staff review or clearance: submissions where at least one answer raised a flag and nobody on your team has reviewed them yet. |
| Cleared | Flagged, then reviewed by staff: submissions that were flagged and have since been reviewed, with a note on the record. |
| Outcome Distribution | No risk vs flagged vs cleared: a chart of the three outcomes for the period, with a full-screen icon. |
Screen needed: Analytics screen, phone layout, Fitness Health Screening Outcomes expanded on 90 d with a few screenings logged (for example Screened Clients 6, No Risk 4, Flagged 1, Cleared 1) and the Outcome Distribution chart below. Show: the four outcome cards and that they add up to the screened total.
How to read it. No Risk, Flagged and Cleared together make up Screened Clients. A growing Flagged number is a to-do list: those clients are waiting for someone to look at their submission. To find the submissions behind the numbers, open Submissions, tap the filter icon and use Status → Health screening, which has the same Flagged and Cleared options.
Empty state. If no submission in the period went through a screening, the section reads No fitness screening outcome data yet. Widen the date range or check that the template's Health Screening step has questions with flag rules.
Only the outcome is counted. Analytics shows whether a screening came out as no risk, flagged or cleared, never which question was answered or what the client wrote. The health answers themselves stay on the individual submission and its PDF.
Fitness Session Overview
This section shows what one template asks under Session Information and what people answered (including both client and business inputs).
The data comes from two steps of the fitness template: Client Session Information, which the client fills in (for example Fitness Activity / Program, Training Type, Experience Level), and Business Session Information, which your staff record during the session (Trainer, Session Type, Restrictions / Modifications, Trainer Notes). Because every template can ask its own questions, this section works one template at a time: the Filters row has a single template picker rather than a multi-select, and everything below reflects the template you picked.
| Card or control | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Template picker (Filters) | The one fitness template the section is reporting on, for example Fitness Waiver. Switch templates here to compare them. |
| Tracked Sessions | Templates collecting session information: how many templates have a Session Information step turned on. |
| Submissions | The number of submissions for the chosen template in the period (for example 30 d). |
| Who fills the section in | Two counts, Clients and Staff, each with a percentage of tracked. A template can ask one side and not the other, so these need not add up to the tracked total. |
| Client Session Information | What clients answered in Client Session Information: each field the template asks, with the answers given and how many times each was chosen. A field nobody answered shows N/a. |
| Business Session Information | What your staff recorded in Business Session Information: the same breakdown for the staff fields, such as Trainer and Session Type. |
Screen needed: Fitness Session Overview expanded on a phone, Fitness Waiver selected in the template picker, with the Tracked Sessions and Submissions cards and the Who fills the section in block showing Clients and Trainers counts. Show: the single template picker, because this section is per template.
How to read it. Start with Who fills the section in: if Trainers sits well below Clients, your team is skipping the Business Session Information fields. Then scan the two lists for the most common answers, for example which program most clients pick or how sessions are split between trainers, without opening each PDF.
Empty state. With no submissions for the chosen template in the period, the field lists show N/a against each question. Pick a longer date range or a different template.
Good to know
- Health answers do not appear as analytics. Waiverly uses only the screening outcome, not the medical answers, in any chart.
- Deleted templates disappear from the filters, so their past submissions are no longer selectable here.
- No export yet. Analytics cannot be exported to CSV at the moment; use the full-screen view to review a chart in detail.
