Editing a Waiver Template

You can change a waiver template at any time after creating it. Editing opens the same step-by-step builder you used to create it, with your saved choices already filled in.

In short: Waiver Forms → three-dot icon (⋯) on the template → Edit waiver → Edit → make your changes step by step → save on the last step. Waivers signed before the edit stay exactly as they were; only future submissions use the changes.

How to edit a template

  1. Tap the round Waiverly button in the middle of the tab bar to open Waiver Forms (or open the menu ☰ and tap Waiver Forms).
  2. Tap the three-dot icon (⋯) at the top right of the template card and choose Edit waiver.
  3. In the Confirm Edit sheet (Are you sure you want to edit this waiver?), tap Edit.

Screen needed: Waiver Forms screen, phone layout, with the three-dot menu open on a template card (example: "Fitness Waiver", Fitness chip, Updated date visible). Menu shows Edit waiver, Delete waiver, Copy form link, Embed on website, Waiver info. Show: the Edit waiver option in the three-dot menu.

  1. The builder opens at the first step. Make your changes, tap Next to move forward and the back arrow to go back.
  2. On the last step, Preview, check the updated waiver and save your changes. The template card now shows a new Updated date.

What changes and what doesn't

  • Earlier submissions stay as they are. Editing a template does not change any submission made before the edit.
  • Future submissions use the changes. Once you've saved, every new submission on that template uses the updated version.
  • The form link keeps working. The same link now opens the updated waiver; there's no need to send a new one.
  • The waiver language can't be changed. In edit mode the Waiver Language card is locked (This waiver language is locked because it can only be set during creation.). To offer the waiver in another language, create a new template.

Screen needed: first step of the fitness builder in edit mode, phone layout, Waiver Name "Fitness Waiver", scrolled to the Waiver Language card showing English with the lock icon. Show: the lock icon and the text "This waiver language is locked because it can only be set during creation."
